About the event:
Food Day is October 24th, 2012 (and throughout October)!  “Warm-up” for Food Day with FSNYC’s October open networking event. Locally crafted food and drink provided by 61 Local will be available for purchase all evening. From 6:00-6:30 we will be “sneak previewing” Anna Lappé’s new Food MythBusters animated video that debunks the myth that we need industrial agriculture to feed the world.  Anna Lappé will join us from 6:00-7:00 pm to talk about her new project.  After the sneak preview, stay and join FSNYC members for an evening of networking and conversation.


Food Day is a national movement celebrated throughout the month of October to acknowledge a values shift to "healthy, affordable, and sustainable food." This year, Food Day includes a plethora of events happening throughout NYC and our region! Many NYC Food Day events are listed on FSNYC's website here.
