Lantern Community Services ("LCS") is the social service affiliate of the Lantern Group, a not-for-profit housing developer and service provider, established in 1997 to participate in activities that strengthen New York City communities.  LCS provides services to tenants living in more than 1000 units of permanent affordable and supportive housing for low-income families and individuals living with special needs including mental illness, HIV/AIDS, as well as young adults aging out of foster care.

The Wholesale Greenmarket (WGM), a program of GrowNYC, is New York City’s only open-air wholesale farmers’ market, geared toward direct sales between regional growers and the city’s wholesale buyers. The heart of the WGM is the Bronx Terminal Growers, a group of growers with a long history in NYC. WGM seeks to expand and develop the market’s sales opportunities by driving customer traffic to the market and through Greenmarket Co., GrowNYC’s year-round wholesale distribution program.

GrowNYC seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to recruit farmers and manage procurement for two wholesale programs, the Wholesale Greenmarket, an open-air night-time market located in the Hunts Point neighborhood of the Bronx dedicated to farmer-direct sales in wholesale quantities, and Greenmarket Co., a distribution program which aggregates locally-produced farm products and delivers them to wholesale buyers throughout NYC. Greenmarket Co. is a local food distribution service with a two pronged mission: to create a new, profitable wholesale marketplace for regional farm and food businesses, and to create transparent, efficient supply chains that increase all New Yorkers’ access to locally produced food.
