Annual Bronx Urban Farm Tour
"Food and Hip-Hop: Hip-Hop Historical Tour"

Visit the birthplace of Hip-Hop with official tour guide, Grandmaster Mele Mel on the Bronx Urban Farms Trolley Tour: Hip-Hop & Food Historical Tour: Beats and Beets! All aboard for the narrated group tour of some of the borough's most amazing working farms - where community farmers tend to their plots of land, micro-entrepreneurs harvest honey, and chickens roam freely.

Experience the birthplace of hip-hop music in a whole new way as you embark on a rhythmic, healthful-food journey with pioneers of this urban music genre as your guides. Tour activities include: a hip-hop poetry slam and music jam; Get  Dirty, an interactive gardening session; and a short session on chicken raising and tour of the compost demonstration area.

Tours will pick up attendees at the Visitor's Center in Midtown, Manhattan and depart at 10:00am sharp. Can't commit the full day? No worries - take the train and meet us for lunch and workshops at the Garden of Happiness, Prospect Ave (between East 181 St and East 182 St) at 11:00 AM.
